About the Math, Science and Technology initiative

MSTi is an innovative program that gets kids excited about science and technology through hands-on learning in after school. Using the curriculum Muscles Lungs,Blood & Guts, MSTi seeks to help youth:

  • Learn the habits of scientific thinking
  • Build an enduring excitement for math, science and technology
  • Increase their exposure to scientific concepts
  • Investigate math, science and technology-based careers via site visits to area companies.
Since its inception in 2004, MSTi has grown from supporting three science clubs to nearly thirty, serving close to 400 youth in Greater Boston and Merrimack Valley. Not only does MSTi foster a lifelong passion for science, it nurtures future talent to help Massachusetts remain a leader in discovery and innovation.
