April 13, 2005United Way of Mass Bay hosts ePhilanthropy TrainingBOSTON -- United Way of Massachusetts Bay (UWMB) will host the ePhilanthropy Foundation’s 2005 Internet Strategies eTour training seminar from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the United Way, 245 Summer St., 14th Floor Auditorium, Boston. The effort is part of UWMB’s commitment to effecting systemic change in the issues facing the community by fostering the growth of the nonprofit sector and strengthening the agencies that are on the front lines. The seminar aims to teach nonprofit organizations to effectively use the Internet for fundraising, marketing, communications, advocacy, volunteerism, outreach and community building. It will feature presentations of case studies showing the best practices in the industry, and trainers will offer eTour participants practical guidance on the latest techniques for ethical online nonprofit management and e-philanthropy. All registrations include a $10 gift certificate toward any ePhilanthropy Foundation online elearning course, a subscription to the Foundation’s biweekly electronic newsletter and a one-year subscription to the Foundation’s email discussion forum.
